McHenry County Clerk & Recorder

Since the Jan. 6th riot at our nation’s capital, almost every state, including Illinois, has drafted bills to eliminate voter fraud in our elections. Many have passed. These new bills and laws, in fact suppress the vote and limits who can vote. So far this year, tens of thousands of mail-in ballots have been rejected. All these new election laws are nothing more than voter suppression and have one aim-to suppress voter turnout.
Add that our own County Clerk has made the papers for every election going wrong since the first election under his control.
The person in this position must have the skills, knowledge, and experience to perform the duties that this office requires. Issues of party, gender, race, and religion must be put aside to guarantee fair outcomes for all constituents. The person in this office needs to be able to objectively carry out the laws overseen by this office and equitably manage the duties of the office for all seeking the services of the County Clerk & Recorder’s Office.
I believe I have the skills, knowledge, and experience that are needed to be able to address all the issues that have risen since 2018, using quality tools like benchmarking to compare what we are doing compared to other election authorities, building relationships with other county clerks and recorders through our membership in the Illinois County Clerks and Recorders Association, and implementing parts of the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO/TS 54001 Application of ISO 9001:2015 for electoral organizations at all levels of government to help improve our procedures and record keeping.
I believe once you review my work resumé and personal bio below, you will see that I have the skills, knowledge, and experience to implement procedures that will ensure that our election process is fair for all and will assure that the results will be accurate and secure from any interference, both internal and external. I hope I can count on your support and your vote. Below you will find out how you can help my campaign by donating and volunteering.

Been part of the McHenry County Democratic Party for almost 20 years. Starting with appointments as a precinct committeeman. Elected as District 6 chair, parade chair, vice chair of election services, and active member of fund raising and recruitment committees. Spent 4 years as a trustee on the Village of Hebron Board trying to expand intergovernmental agreements for equipment and labor sharing. Exposed the corruption by the village president. Last 3 years as the vice chair of the state Illinois Ballot Integrity Project working on changing state election laws to have a hand counted audit instead of doing audits using scanners. Founded the McHenry chapter of the IBIP and worked to have the group certified to be a state civic organization within the first year. Members can become deputy registrars and register people to vote. We can sponsor poll watchers. We are one of the few groups allowed to work with high schools and hold voter registration events and election classes.
I am proud to announce that on April 25th 2022 VoteVets has endorsed my campaign to be the next McHenry County Clerk & Recorder.
